Intel Macs and Windows on ARM
1MachineTool now runs on Intel Macs and on Windows on ARM.
Added
- Intel Macs. A separate download for Macs with an Intel processor, signed and notarized like the Apple silicon version. Every module works except VMs, which need Apple silicon; the VMs page says so, and on an Apple silicon Mac it says to get the Apple silicon version instead.
- Windows on ARM. A setup
.exefor Windows 11 on ARM64 PCs, beside the x64 installers. As on x64, most modules still rely on macOS and their pages say what is not available on Windows yet.- The installer is not code-signed for Windows yet, so SmartScreen may stop the first launch. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
The update progress bar keeps up with the download
Fixed
- The update progress bar keeps up with the download. It used to trail far behind the "MB of MB" label while an update downloaded.
Pro goes on sale, and every module can be tried on Free
Pro is on sale, and every module can now be tried on Free.
Added
- 1MachineTool Pro. Buy it once from Settings › License: $29 for one computer, $59 for three or $89 for five, in any mix of Macs and PCs. It includes a year of updates, and the version you have keeps working after that. Paste your license key to activate; Deactivate frees the computer for another one.
- Every module on Free, within daily limits. 100 clipboard items, 3 fixes, 1 cleanup and 2 scene runs a day, plus 1 saved window layout and 1 VM with 1 snapshot. The daily limits start again at midnight. Settings › License shows today's meters, and the sidebar shows how many fixes are left.
Changed
- Menu bar tidying, scenes and Optimize now work on Free. Optimize now counts as the day's cleanup. Moving menu bar icons for you, the charge limit, lid-closed mode, custom DNS, window dimming, sync and the Monday email stay part of Pro.
- Free clipboard history keeps what you set. The 7-day limit is gone; the daily item limit replaces it. Once today's items are used, copy and paste still work, and the Clipboard page says new copies are kept again tomorrow.
- Fixes and cleanups on Free reset every day. They were a one-time allowance of 10 fixes and 3 cleanups. Undo and restoring from quarantine are never counted.
The first Windows build
The first Windows build, beside the Mac app.
Added
- 1MachineTool on Windows. A first build for Windows 10 and 11 (x64), from the setup
.exeor the.msi. It updates itself the same way the Mac app does, and the1machineCLI comes with it. Most modules still rely on macOS: their pages say what is not available on Windows yet. Full Windows support is planned for v1.1.- The installers are not code-signed for Windows yet, so SmartScreen may stop the first launch. Choose More info, then Run anyway.

The first release: one app for the health of your Mac
The first release, for macOS on Apple Silicon.
Added
- One app, one hotkey. A launcher for apps, recent files, commands with typed arguments, a calculator, unit conversion, snippets and your own commands, plus the MCP commands of the other StoicSoft apps you use.
- Clipboard history for text, rich text, images, files, links and colours, encrypted at rest. Secure fields and ignored apps are never recorded.
- Windows : snap to every target, move to the next display, saved layouts per display setup, and dim background windows.
- Monitor : a menu bar readout and a notch readout, history, the apps that are using your CPU and memory, background jobs, drive health and chip temperatures.
- Clean : a space map, uninstall with leftovers and a privacy sweep. Every removal goes to quarantine first, with 30 days to undo.
- Diagnosis : ask why the Mac is slow, hot, draining, full, not sleeping or on bad Wi-Fi, and get findings that explain themselves, with fixes you can undo.
- Power and Battery : keep awake, schedules, battery health and wear, and a charge limit through an optional privileged helper.
- Security check , Network, Display & audio and Menu bar modules.
- Virtual machines : macOS and Linux guests on Apple's Virtualization.framework, and Windows guests on the built-in engine, with linked clones and snapshots.
- The `1machine` CLI and `1machine mcp` : every module from the terminal and from your AI agent, on the same core as the app.
- Software updates : the app checks the signed release feed twice a day and installs new versions from Settings, General.
